Peak Season Reminder: Book Your Cargo Space Early
2026-07
From September to January each year, Russia enters its peak season for e-commerce and traditional retail, with dense promotional events and concentrated shipping demand. Based on past capacity, clients planning peak-season stock should arrange early to avoid missing space at the last minute.
What happens to capacity
Air cargo space is the tightest during peak season: prices rise on popular routes and booking lead times stretch. Rail capacity is more stable, but departure slots shift later as volumes grow. The closer to a sales event, the fewer route and timing options remain.
Recommended schedule
Cargo for September-October sales should be consolidated by August; cargo for November-December sales should be booked before mid-October. For the urgent air tier, confirm booking two weeks ahead; for rail, schedule three to four weeks ahead. The earlier you lock in, the more certain both price and speed become.
Kaguo's peak-season plan
During peak season, Kaguo keeps the three speed tiers unchanged and prioritises shipments with locked bookings. Managers send capacity plans to monthly-settlement and key accounts one month ahead; all clients can check live capacity by phone or email anytime.
What to do now
Estimate stock needs per channel, then work backwards from the sales dates to set your consolidation and booking milestones, and confirm with your manager early. In peak season, planning ahead is saving money.
